Artist's Comments

Uhughughguhgu.

Trying to finalize the style I'm going to go for in the comic I'm doing for my art portfolio.

Like this only probably less shading. And a little less background suck, ideally.

PS: Does anyone actually remember the TV show Sheep in the Big City? It was on Cartoon Network way back when Dexter's Lab and Cow and Chicken were on. Great television, I tell you.

THE RANTING SWEDE
Or was it 'raving'? Either way, my favorite part of the show.

The lad in your picture is so loveable, especially with that adorable expression of wonderment. ;A;

Um, I love his messanger bag. And his arm perspective is also great.
I get this feeling quite often...
Anyway, good luck with the comic and stuff.

hahah! Yes yes, general specific and private public who wanted to catch the sheep... but why? these days it's a mystery.
(I almost wrote general kinky and private parts, and then I was like, wait, that's me and Michael H.)

I really like the shading on this because the brush strokes are obvious so it looks all painterly but nice and fast. I wish I could show you the fold on his shirt that is my favorite... its sort of on the top of his chest, on our right, below his color bone... well the shading there is magnificent. yes. but the best is that this really conveys that awestruck MOOD really well. And the way the bg is done does look a lil rushed but the lines look very neon-y somehow (what am I talking about???) probably because it's white on a darker background.
have you thought about adding a couple accents of color? I dunno if you can for the final thing for whatever AP Art specifications. I'm thinking
